Privacy Policy.
Effective date: November 8, 2026
This policy explains what Deeplm Inc (“DeepLM,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use deeplm.ai, your DeepLM account, and DeepLM Ops, our app that runs on your computer. DeepLM is in early access, and this policy will change as the product does.
The short version
- DeepLM Ops runs on your computer. Questions answered by the local model stay there.
- Signing in unlocks cloud features: web search, cloud models for harder questions, premium learning templates, and challenges. When you use them, your request goes through our servers.
- We collect basic usage data. You can turn off optional usage data, but not the data we need for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
- We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
What we collect
Your account
You sign in at accounts.deeplm.ai with Google or with a sign-in link sent to your email.
- Google sign-in: We receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
- Email sign-in link: We receive your email address.
We also keep your account settings and sign-in history, such as when you signed in and from which IP address.
When you use cloud features
When you use a cloud feature, DeepLM Ops sends your request to our servers.
- Cloud models: For harder questions, we send your question and the context needed to answer it through our servers to TypeSafe and OpenRouter. OpenRouter passes the request to the AI model provider that answers it.
- Web search: We send your search query to Serper.
- Learning templates and challenges: We record which templates you open, your progress, and your challenge submissions.
The context sent with a question can include information from your computer, such as your GPU model, memory, or an error message, when it’s needed to answer.
Usage data
We collect basic usage data to run and improve DeepLM, such as:
- Features you use, and when
- App version, operating system, and general hardware type
- Errors and crashes
- Request counts and response times
Data for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance
We keep account IDs, IP addresses, request metadata, and requests flagged by our automated systems to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, and to meet legal obligations, including reports US law requires.
When you visit our website or download DeepLM
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time.
The install script comes from deeplm.ai. Other downloads come directly from third parties under their own policies, including GitHub Container Registry, Hugging Face, Docker Hub, and Docker, Homebrew, or apt sources.
When you contact us
If you email us or submit a form, we collect what you send. Our contact form runs on HubSpot.
What stays on your computer
These stay on your computer and are not sent to us:
- Questions answered by the local model, and their answers
- Hardware readings, unless you include them in a cloud request
- DeepLM Ops’ local audit log
- Read-only queries to a cluster you connect, which go over SSH from your computer
You can use DeepLM Ops’ local features without an account.
If you use Docker Model Runner on a Mac, it keeps your last 10 requests and answers on your Mac, where other containers can read them. See our security model.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Sign you in and run your account
- Provide cloud features, templates, and challenges
- Keep DeepLM secure and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse
- Fix problems and improve DeepLM
- Respond to you
- Comply with legal obligations
Information from Google
We use the information Google shares only to sign you in and run your account. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it except as this policy describes. Our use follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Who we share information with
We share information with:
- Service providers that help us run DeepLM, such as our hosting provider and HubSpot
- AI and search providers that answer cloud requests: TypeSafe, OpenRouter, the model providers OpenRouter routes to, and Serper. They handle requests under their own policies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or when needed to protect people, our users, or DeepLM
- A successor, if DeepLM is part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale
We do not sell your personal information.
Workload data and GPU providers
We plan to help people move workloads to GPU providers. Before any feature shares your workload data with a GPU provider, we will update this policy and ask for your permission.
Your choices
- Optional usage data: Turn it off in Settings. We still collect the data we need for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
- Cloud features: Don’t sign in, or don’t use cloud features, and your questions stay on your computer.
- Delete your account: Go to My account at accounts.deeplm.ai, or email hello@deeplm.ai. We delete your account data unless we must keep some of it for security or legal reasons.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or get a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. Email hello@deeplm.ai to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first.
How long we keep information
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account information | Until you delete your account |
| Usage data | 90 days |
| Cloud request logs | 90 days |
| Security, abuse, and legal records | As long as needed for those purposes, or as the law requires |
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
Colleges, institutes, and other organizations
If your college, institute, or employer gives you access to DeepLM, a separate agreement with that organization may apply. Ask that organization how it handles your information.
Children
DeepLM is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, use it only with permission from a parent, guardian, or your educational institution. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We will post updates at deeplm.ai/privacy and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will give you clear notice.
